Me alegra mucho poder contar que, quince años después de ser finalista del premio Julio Alejandro, finalmente he ganado este importante galardón con mi guion “Mugalari”.

“Salva Rubio (Madrid, 1978) ha ganado el 22º Premio SGAE de Guion para Largometraje Julio Alejandro 2025 con Mugalari, un thriller histórico inspirado en la Red Cometa, una de las redes clandestinas de evacuación de fugitivos de la Europa ocupada por los alemanes más famosa y eficaz de la II Guerra Mundial”.

«Le debo mi carrera a este premio. Hace 15 años decidí dedicarme a ser guionista sin ningún apoyo. Me dediqué a escribir y mi primer guion fue finalista del Julio Alejandro en 2010, eso me dio el empujón y la certeza de que podía escribir. Me alegra mucho celebrar mi carrera con este premio y con la entidad que me apoyó desde el principio», ha reconocido el guionista tras recibir el galardón.

El jurado, presidido por el director institucional del Audiovisual de Fundación SGAE, Antonio Hens, y compuesto por los cineastas Pável Giroud (ganador del VII Premio SGAE de Guion para el Largometraje Julio Alejandro 2010), Arturo Infante y Sigfrid Monleón y la productora Marta Velasco seleccionó este guion entre 246 trabajos presentados, procedentes de España e Iberoamérica. El comité previo de lectura, que cuenta con la colaboración de instituciones del sector, asociaciones y sindicatos de guionistas, ha estado integrado por Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Ana Díez, Juan Tébar, Eva Mor (en representación del sindicato de guionistas FAGA), Ana Piles y Bernardo Sánchez-Salas.

El galardón, que celebra 24 años de trayectoria convertido en el reconocimiento a la escritura de guion más importante de la comunidad hispanohablante, supone un impulso para potencia la calidad de la literatura cinematográfica.

I am very happy to be able to say that, fifteen years after being a finalist for the Julio Alejandro award, I have finally won this important award with my screenplay “Mugalari”.

“I owe my career to this award. Fifteen years ago I decided to become a screenwriter without any support. I dedicated myself to writing and my first script was a finalist for the Julio Alejandro award in 2010, which gave me the push and the certainty that I could write. I am very happy to celebrate my career with this award and with the organization that supported me from the beginning,” the screenwriter acknowledged after receiving the award.

The jury, chaired by the institutional director of Audiovisual at the SGAE Foundation, Antonio Hens, and made up of filmmakers Pável Giroud (winner of the 7th SGAE Screenplay Award for Feature Films Julio Alejandro 2010), Arturo Infante and Sigfrid Monleón and producer Marta Velasco selected this screenplay from among 246 entries from Spain and Latin America. The preliminary reading committee, which includes the collaboration of institutions in the sector, associations and screenwriters’ unions, was made up of Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Ana Díez, Juan Tébar, Eva Mor (representing the screenwriters’ union FAGA), Ana Piles and Bernardo Sánchez-Salas.

The award, which is now in its 24th year and has become the most important recognition of screenwriting in the Spanish-speaking world, serves as an incentive to improve the quality of film literature.
